Cangqi (the “App”) respects and protects your privacy. This policy explains how Cangqi handles information created while you use food tracking, meal inspiration and review features. Please read it before using the App.

1. Information We Handle

1.1 Content you create

You may create food names, purchase dates, shelf-life information, categories, food photos, meal ideas, favorites, check-in notes, journal entries, journal photos, an avatar and a nickname.

1.2 Device access and permissions

The current version of Cangqi primarily runs on your device. It does not actively collect your contacts, location, microphone, phone information or advertising identifier. The App requests access to the system photo picker only when you actively choose to add a photo.

2. How We Use Information

• To display and manage your food, expiry information, ideas, check-ins and journal entries locally;
• To save your language, theme, reminder, nickname and avatar preferences;
• To respond to deletion, editing and clear-all actions initiated by you; and
• To respond to questions, comments or support requests that you send to us.

Cangqi does not build advertising profiles from your food or journal content and does not use that content for unrelated marketing.

3. Storage and Sharing

In the current version, your food, image paths, ideas, records and preferences are stored in the App’s local storage by default and are not automatically uploaded to a Cangqi server. We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal information.

We may provide information when required by applicable law, legal process or a lawful request from a competent authority. If a future version adds cloud sync, push notifications or another feature that requires data transmission, we will update this policy and explain the change before the feature becomes available.

4. Data Security

We rely on the mobile operating system’s app isolation and local storage protections, and we aim to keep collection limited to what is needed for the App. No electronic storage method is completely secure. Please protect your device and system account, and clear data you do not want to retain before transferring or servicing your device.

5. Your Rights

You can view and edit content you create in Cangqi. You can clear all food and records from Profile, or delete individual food items, ideas and records. You may also contact us using the email below to request access, correction, deletion or other privacy-related assistance.

6. Third-Party Services

The current version does not include advertising, social login or third-party analytics. The system photo picker is provided by your mobile operating system. When you use a system service, its own terms and privacy rules also apply.

7. Children’s Privacy

Cangqi is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the email below and we will reasonably assist with handling the request.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the App changes or as required by law. The updated policy will be posted on this page and will take effect on the effective date shown above. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice in the App or through another appropriate method.
